About
Military Historical Tours!
(MHT) Twenty
years ago, our Founder and President, Colonel Warren Wiedhahn, USMC (Ret), a Korean
and Vietnam War Veteran, designed the concept for MHT from his vision of enabling
fellow Veterans, their Families and Friends, Historians, Educators and Students
alike, the opportunity to re-visit the battlefields of past conflicts. These journeys
are undertaken to allow the participants to come to an understanding of the events
that transpired and how they connected to the history of our nation, and
to the world. This vision has carried us to famous battlefields, as well
as those relatively unknown. From the trenches of the World War I, to the hedgerows
of Normandy; from the "Black Sands" of Iwo Jima; to the hills of Korea
and the jungles of Vietnam, MHT has transported thousands of "pilgrims"
to the areas of importance to them. Tours are is designed to allow the maximum
flexibility in itinerary, tour sites visited and time spent at each. Input is
requested in the design of the final itinerary in order to tailor each to the
interests of the participants. Research is undertaken to insure that each tour
is as historically accurate, significant and timely as possible. Pre-tour research
materials, consisting of suggested reading lists, MHT "History on Tour"
booklets and copies of books of significant interest are provided to enable the
participants to maximize their experience. Tours are limited in size
to provide a "one on one" experience and are lead by an experienced
professional who has traveled extensively in the specific location. Guest historians
and speakers, plus tour hosts, are added to provide an "in-depth" perspective.
MHT stands ready to fulfill our pledge to offer: "The finest in custom-designed
tour programs to the Veteran, Family members, Historian and Educators" and
welcome the opportunity to discuss any tour, or to answer any questions.
We will be happy to provide you a list of former satisfied tour participants.
