After breakfast, we depart for a full
day's tour of Bataan Peninsula, to include the full route of the Death March,
sites of some of the most bitter fighting in 1942 around Samat, Mariveles, Abucay,
Balanga, and more. This day also offers a fascinating, and different perspective
on the western side of Manila Bay. The day is capped off with a visit to Mount
Samat and the huge cross (monument) on top the mountain, from which you can view
most of Bataan Peninsula. We'll enjoy a spectacular luncheon buffet at "Villa

Today we depart Subic Bay and trace the northern
portion of the Death March toward Clark Air Force Base and the city of Angeles.
We will also visit Capas and Camp O'Donnell and various battle sites of engagements
with the Japanese invasion of 1942. There are magnificent monuments commemorating
the courage of our Filipino and American soldiers held captive after the Bataan
and Corregidor campaigns. Ample time will be allowed to view these sites and historical
comment will be provided. We will overnight at the Holiday Inn and Resort on the
old Clark Air Force Base, which is now an International Freeport and Trade Zone.
A tour of the base is included, along with a visit to Clark's unique military
museum.
(Day Nine)
Another full day of touring, as we leave
Clark AFB and drive toward Cabanatuan, and the former prison camp. This was "the
end of the line" for the Bataan Death Marchers, and the site of one of World
War II's most interesting stories, as featured in "The Ghost Soldiers."
We will also visit Cabu Bridge, the place where Pajota's guerilla forces ambushed
and killed a thousand Japanese on their way to save the Japanese garrison at Cabanatuan
Prison Camp. Late in the afternoon, we travel north to Lingayen Gulf and the city
of Dagupan, site of Macarthur's triumphant second landing to liberate Manila and
Luzon Island. We will tour the landing beaches and other sites around the Bay.

(Day Ten)
Today we continue to trace
the invasion beaches around Lingayen, and drive north to San Fernando La Union,
where numerous Japanese "Hell Ships" departed with American POWs in

and beach areas of Dagupan. In the afternoon, we return to our resort at Dagupan.
