Military Historical Tours (MHT) is excited to take our paxs on an adventure of the  American Revolution. MHT travels from Boston, MA all the way to the first colonists at Jamestown in VA. Experience our development from Britain’s 13 American colonies that were founded in the 17th and early18th centuries and the development of the spirit of freedom to the liberation from England with a look at the participants & patriots in the War of Independence. Join MHT’s spectacular Freedom Sojourn from the first conflicts near Boston to the defeat of General Lord Charles Cornwallis’s Redcoats by General George Washington’s siege at Yorktown.

Daily Itinerary

20 Oct—Day 1:  Paxs arrive at Logan Airport. Shuttle to hotel. There will be an Icebreaker & Itinerary Meeting at 1800 in the hotel. Meals: on your own.  (Remain Over Night (RON): Boston Logan Courtyard by Marriott)

21 Oct—Day 2: After breakfast at the hotel we begin our tour by following the Midnight Ride of Paul Revere to warn the militia (Minutemen) in Lexington & Concord that British General Gage was sending his soldiers north. We begin with a visit to Lexington Green where the first skirmish was fought and the nearby Lexington Museum. We continue on to the North Concord Bridge where the Redcoats met a more formidable force of American citizen soldiers. We follow the route of the retreating Redcoats with lunch on own at the Club Car Cafe deli. In Boston we see the signal site at the Old North Church. The Boston tour ends at the important Bunker Hill Battle site RON: Boston Logan Courtyard by Marriott. (Meals: Breakfast (B); Lunch (L) & Dinner (D) on own)

22 Oct—Day 3:  After breakfast & checkout we start the day with a Tour of the historical frigate U.S.S. Constitution “Old Ironsides” and the museum. We depart Boston for Fishkill, NY with lunch enroute. RON: Fishkill Courtyard by Marriott. (Meals: Breakfast (B); (L) & (D) on own)

23 Oct—Day 4: After breakfast we checkout of the hotel for Newburgh to tour Gen. Washington’s HQ. We then head to The U.S. Military Academy at West Point, NY with a box lunch along the way. Tour the grounds & West Point Museum. We finish the day at Valley Forge, PA. RON: Holiday Inn Express in King of Prussia.(Meals: Breakfast (B) & (L); (D) on own)

24 Oct—Day 5: After breakfast we depart for our tour of Valley Forge. We will see  Gen. Washington’s HQ, Prussian General von Steuben’s parade ground, who as Washington’s Inspector General, Steuben's created one standard drill method, thus coordinating the entire Continental Army. We will have stops at       Washington’s          Memorial Cathedral &     Visitor Center. We depart Valley Forge for             Philadelphia to see Carpenter’s Hall that hosted the First Continental Congress in 1774 & see the home of the Liberty Bell. Lunch at Pat or Gino’s Famous Cheesesteaks. Before heading for VA we visit the Philly Art Museum for a photo op with the Rocky  Balboa statue but running  the 72 Italian Stallion steps is optional. 25 Oct—Day 6: After breakfast & checkout we head to George Washington’s plantation estate & home at Mt. Vernon. The first President is buried there. After touring the grounds we head south for Yorktown with lunch enroute. Our next stop is a visit to the Yorktown Battlefield. Here British Major General Charles Cornwallis surrendered his army to French & American forces after the Siege of Yorktown (28 Sept – 19 Oct, 1781) during the American Revolutionary War. 26 Oct—Day 7: After breakfast we start the day touring Jamestown, the site of the ruins of the first permanent English settlement in North America. After lunch, we tour Williamsburg that was capital of the Virginia Colony from 1699 to 1780 and played a significant role in the American Revolution. RON: Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Richmond Airport. (Meals: (B); (L) & (D) on own)

27 Oct—Day 8: After breakfast, depart for home from Richmond airport. (Meals: (B)
