(Day 1) Fri 7 Dec—Depart USA for Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport.
(Day 2) Sat 8 Dec—Arrival in Tel Aviv
Following our arrival at Ben Gurion Airport we will be met for an orientation meeting before we travel to Jerusalem for four (4) overnights. Remainder of the day at leisure to recover. Hotel: Grand Court—Meals: Dinner (D)
(Day 3) Sun 9 Dec—Old City of Jerusalem
After breakfast we begin with a tour of historic Jerusalem, starting with a panoramic view of the city from the Mount of Olives. We will also visit Gethsemane, the Temple Mount to see from outside the Dome of the Rock and Al Aqsa Mosque before proceeding to see the holiest place in Judaism - the Western Wall. Following our visit we walk along the Via Dolorosa to visit the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. After lunch, “Ammunition Hill”, the site of the fierce battle with a focus on the story of the Six-Day War and the reunification of Jerusalem in 1967. Private dinner with a lecture from Avi Melamed, expert on strategic, military and political affairs in Israel today. Overnight Jerusalem Hotel: Grand Court Jerusalem—Meals: Breakfast (B) & D
(Day 4) Mon 10 Dec—Jerusalem & Bethlehem
Our tour of the New City will begin after breakfast at the hotel with a visit to the powerful Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial. Then either a visit to the Israel Museum and the Shrine of the Book, where the Dead Sea Scrolls are on display or Har Herzl, Israel’s National Cemetery. The cemetery is where we can visit the gravesites of Israel’s greatest political leaders and military heroes, including Theodore Herzl, Ze’ev Jabotinski, and Yitzhak Rabin. Buried alongside these giants are the real heroes, the common soldiers who gave their lives for the Jewish State. We cross the border after lunch by traveling to Bethlehem, birthplace of Jesus, with the Nativity Church, Manger Square and shopping opportunities. Overnight Jerusalem Hotel: Grand Court—Meal: B
(Day 5) Tue 11 Dec—Masada & Dead Sea
After Breakfast, we will drive south from Jerusalem to We then drive via the Judean desert to the lowest place on Earth—the Dead Sea with its famed mud baths. We have a private beach with lockers and showers – with time to float in the Dead Sea. We will then visit the World Heritage Site of Masada where we will travel by cable car up to King Herod’s fortress (option to climb up via the snake trail), we will have a beautiful panoramic view of the Dead Sea and the Judean desert plus we will see the ancient water cistern, old Synagogue, Byzantine church and much more. It was here, around 73 AD that Jewish Zealots under Elazar ben Yair held out against the Roman Tenth Legion and, rather than submit to the Roman Empire’s rule, took their own lives in defiance. The site remains one of the world’s most important archeological sites. We will also visit the museum by the visitors' center. A true “bucket list” site!. In the afternoon, visit Jericho and drive north through the Jordan Valley to our 4.5 star hotel for a group dinner. Overnight: Lavi Kibbutz Hotel—Meals: B & D
(Day 6) Wed 12 Dec—Golan Heights
Following breakfast, we start the day with a visit to the HaShomer Museum. HaShomer was the first Jewish defense organization and one of the origins of the IDF. Next we head to Misgav Am Observation Point with a brief by a retired IDF officer. Lunch on own at a steak house on the Golan or Druze lunch and hospitality in one of the Druze villages. We head to the Golan Heights with a Jeep tour ending at Mount Bental with its great panoramic views as far as Syria. It was the site of a courageous battle fought during Israel's war for the Golan Heights plus we are given a geopolitical overview.
We finish the day with a visit to a fun Golan winery for wine
tasting and visit followed by dinner there. Overnight: Lavi Kibbutz Hotel—Meals: B & D
(Day 7) Thur 13 Dec—Crusader Fortresses & Napoleon
Following breakfast at the hotel, we drive west to Acre on the Mediterranean Coast. This was the last stronghold of the Crusaders, the Knights of the Cross, before their final expulsion from the Holy Land in 1291. Five centuries later at this same site Napoleon Bonaparte was forced to withdraw after an unsuccessful attempt to storm the city walls. After lunch, we will explore the fascinating Crusaders’ Hall and tunnels. We drive to the beautiful and captivating ancient port city Caesarea, once a Roman capital and former Crusader stronghold. We end the day by traveling south to Tel Aviv for a free evening to enjoy the nightlife. Overnight: Hotel Metropolitan in Tel Aviv—Meal: B
(Day 8) Fri 14 Dec—Tel Aviv & Latrun Armored Museum
After breakfast, we’ll visit the important Latrun Armored Museum. This is a great picture opportunity with the tanks of the I.D.F. from all of their wars. While there we’ll also learn about the road to Jerusalem and the battles relating to this corridor and see the vehicle skeletons from the convoys heading to Jerusalem. Return to Tel Aviv and stroll at the beautiful Carmel Market before Shabat. This afternoon we will have some time to enjoy the beaches of Tel Aviv. (Day 9) Sat 15 Dec—Departure
Following breakfast at the hotel and hotel check out we head to Ben Gurion for our flight home. Meal: B

Depart our hotel in Tel Aviv to Petra crossing the Allenby Bridge into Jordan. Hotel: Petra Moon—Meal: D
(Day 10) Sun 16 Dec—Petra Tour
Following a hotel breakfast, Morning pick up from Eilat Hotel. Transfer to Arava Border, escorted border crossing to Jordan & travel to Petra via Aqaba (about 2 hours). In Petra, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, also known as the "Red Rose City." Petra was originally inhabited by the Nabateans famous for their rock-cut architecture, tour begins at the gate of the Archaeological Park. Walk the illustrious Al-Siq Gorge, a narrow canyon with a winding trail. At the park's entry, there is an optional short horseback ride, till the opening of the gorge. At the end of canyon, reveals itself the legendary Treasury Monument. Enter the stone carved shrine then walk along the dry riverbed & explore sites found along its path: the Amphitheatre, Kings' Tombs, Roman Market Road & more. Hear the story of the Nabateans, resourceful desert people that have established Petra as their capital on the “Spice Route.” Lunch break at Al Basin Restaurant. Hotel: Petra Moon—Meal: B/L/D
(Day 11) Mon 17 Dec—Return to Tel Aviv for Flight Home
Depart Petra for border crossing from Arava Border to Eilat. Transfer to airport. Domestic flight back to Ben Gurion for evening flight home as we say Goodbye to Israel. Meal: B
