Vietnam Women’s Memorial Foundation estimates that approximately 9,000 - 11,000 women were stationed in Vietnam during the conflict. Nearly all of them were volunteers, 90% served as military nurses, though women also worked other positions in the U.S. Women’s Army Corps (WAC), Navy WAVES, Women in the Air Force (WAF) and women Marines & the Army Medical Specialist Corps. In addition an unknown number of civilian women served in Vietnam on behalf of the Red Cross, United Service Organizations (USO), Catholic Relief Services and other humanitarian organizations

Day 1/2 – 9/10 Oct: DEPART US / ARRIVAL in Saigon: Arrival by evening flight. Transfer to Le Meridien for check in. Hotel: LE MERIDIEN
Day 3 – 11 Oct: SAIGON – DA LAT: Morning flight SGN to Dalat. Arrive in Da Lat & transfer to local restaurant for lunch. Afternoon visit Tuyen Lam, Bao Dai Villa, Dalat Railway Station & Dalanta waterfall. Hotel: TTC NGOC LAN (Meal: B/L/D)
Day 4 – 12 Oct: DA LAT: Morning visit to Van Thanh Flower Village - the largest flower growing village in Dalat. Drive through Ta Nung Pass to Lam Ha coffee plantation & view weasels producing the most expensive coffee in the world. Next is a visit to a organic rice wine vineyard. Our next stop is to a Silk Farm to see the process from silkworms to the finished product. We swing by the majestic Elephant Waterfall to feel the rush of roaring water & wind. Our last stop before lunch is to Linh An Pagoda with the giant smiling Maitreya Buddha. If you are still hungry we visit lunch a cricket farm to experience a rare food source. Day 5 – 13 Oct: FLIGHT DALAT/SAIGON: Today, we enjoy the fresh morning air & visit a local market before flying back to Saigon to join with the main group at the Le Meridien Hotel. (Meal: B)

Day 3—14 Oct: SAIGON – MY THO: Morning departure for the Mekong Delta to board a boat in the quaint provincial town of My Tho and then wind our way through the labyrinth of small canals bordered by tiny villages. After viewing the endless fields of rice paddies tended by peasants in their traditional conical-shaped hats we transfer to a sampan for a tour of scenic Thoison Island. We will have lunch on the island and view the unique pottery produced on the island. We finish the day by returning to Saigon for some exploration of Saigon’s markets before dinner. Day 4—15 Oct: SAIGON – BINH PHUOC: Morning drive to Song Be, then Quan Loi, Phuoc Vinh & if time Dong Xoai. Hotel: Le Meridien (Meals: B/L/D)
Day 5—16 Oct: SAIGON – CUCHI – TAYNINH: This morning we head for the famous Cu Chi Tunnel system. We then continue to the Michelin Rubber Plantation, passing Lai Khe, Dau Tieng & Nui Ba Den. We proceed to Tay Ninh, stopping to see the fabulous Cau Dai Temple. We end the day visiting the village of Phuoc Long before returning to Saigon where we have an opportunity to enjoy the city at night with dinner on your own. Hotel: Le Meridien (Meals: B/L)
Day 6—17 Oct: SAIGON: After breakfast we will have a full day of seeing the local site including the Notre Dame Cathedral, the old Post Office, the Presidential Palace, the Army Museum & the former location of the US Embassy. After lunch, we will tour a lacquer factory to watch craftsmen at work & finish the day at Saigon’s markets to shop for souvenirs. Hotel: Le Meridien (Meals: B/L)
Day 7—18 Oct: SAIGON – PLEIKU: Morning departure for a flight to Pleiku and proceed to Kontum. Return to Pleiku, visit old Camp Hollaway, and stay overnight. (Meals: B/L/D)
Day 8—19 Oct: PLEIKU – AN KHE – QUY NHON – HOI AN: Morning departure for the An Khe Pass to Quy Nhon. Then we head north toward Hoi An with interesting stops along the way. (Meals: B/L/D)
Day 9—20 Oct: HOI AN – DA NANG: Visit Hoi An sites, Marble Mountain, Hill 55, Da Nang & other local sites. (Meals: B/L)
Day 10—21 Oct: HOI AN – HUE CITY: Morning departure for Hue after stop at Starbucks and the Da Nang Harley-Davidson Store. Stop at the Hai Van Pass, Phu Bai, Phu Cam Canal with a short city tour.(Meals: B/L/D)
Day 11—22 Oct: HUE CITY: Today we explore the north side of the Perfume River and discuss the battles for the Citadel and TT woods. We also visit the Forbidden City via the Dong Ba Gate & the airfield site within the Citadel. We conclude the day with a visit to the Thien Mu Pagoda. (Meals: B/L/D)
Day 12—23 Oct: HUE CITY: Morning departure for Khe Sanh, the Rockpile, Lang Vei, Khe Gia Bridge, Quang Tri, Dong Ha, and then return to Hue. (Meals: B/L/D)
Day 13—24 Oct: HUE CITY – HANOI: Flight to Hanoi. On arrival we have a city tour with the Hoa Lo Prison (Hanoi Hilton) & John McCain Monument. (Meals: B/L)
Day 14—25 Oct: HANOI: Continue our tour of Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Three Tier Pagoda, shopping in the tourist area around the pagoda. Prepare for post tours, some for late evening flights home. (Meals: B/L)
